A Huge Turnout

On a memorable night, the Mytilenian Brotherhood of Canberra and Districts "Agia Paraskevi" celebrate the approaching Lent (and Easter) with an Apokriatiko Carnivale that will be remembered for many years to come.
Over 270 people packed St Dimitrios Orthodox Church's Hall to enjoy a night of great food and dancing, as Sydney's band "The Meraklides" created a lively atmosphere for a great night.

In his speech to members and guests, Brotherhood President, Ioannis Karapatsas, wished everyone a prposperous new year and expressed his joy to see so many people having a great time, "It encourages us to continue working towards bringing people together and enjoying ourselves." He also expressed thanks to his Committee and their families for all their help, "to ensure we had a memorable night", and his happiness to see friends and compatriots from Sydney, and Agiaparaskevotes, Giorgos and Poppy Mouflouzellis, were visiting from Greece.
