Welcome to the Life Stories section of Syndesmos.
In this Life Stories section of our website, the emphasis is on the pioneering migrants of Lesvos, as they were at the forefront of contemporary migration. Like other Greek migrants, their hopes and dreams were alienated by the different language, culture and environment they encountered wherever they may have settled around the world. Yet, they struggled against these adversities to establish strong family networks and successful businesses. Here is a collection of life stories of pioneering migrants of Lesvos.

Mytilenians, like other Greek migrant groups, have played an active role in the development and prosperity of their adopted homelands of the diaspora. By telling our stories, we are preserving our personal history.
